Mr. Lewis Bunch, age 66 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was born on October 9, 1943 in Bartow County, son of the late Joe and Rosa Lee Bunch. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Mae Bunch and Joyce Louise Bunch.
Mr. Bunch was a veteran, having served his country in the US Air Force, and was retired from the textile industry.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Martha Ellen Wyatt Bunch; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clark and Teresa Bunch of Oneida, Kentucky, and Johnny and Crystal Bunch of Calhoun; a sister, Doris Smith of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, Lillian, and Johannah Bunch.
Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Bunch will be conducted Friday, June 25th at 11:00am from the Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Jackie Clayton and Rev. Joe Hall officiating. Interment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Wilson, Keith Braden, Jim Martin, Blake Silvers, Brad Fine, Jason Swofford, Van Pate, John Frix, and Pete Cochran. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the church Friday at 10:45am.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to facilitate funeral expenses.
