Lila Moore Adams

Mrs. Lila Moore Adams, age 81 of Resaca, GA passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Rhea County Medical Center in Dayton, TN. She was born in Martin County, KY on January 14, 1932, daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle Smith Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Marthie Moore, Mary Emfinger, Maggie Buckles, Alice Lainey, Sarah Moore, Grettis Moore, Elsie Moore, Everett Moore, Samuel Moore, Herbert Moore, Cassius Moore, Oscar Moore, Albert Moore Jr., Taft Moore, Billy Moore, Thomas Jefferson Moore, and Mason Moore, all of Martin County, KY.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Marvin Adams; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Beth Adams of Resaca, and Tim and Jane Adams of Rome; a daughter, Teresa Adams of Calhoun; grandchildren, Michael Adams, Devin Adams, Seth Adams, Deo Rhudy, Tyler Everett, and Zachary Adams; great-grandchildren, Drew Adams, and Trevor Adams; a brother-in-law, Richard Whalen; sisters-in-law, Essie "Jean" Moore, Bertina Moore, and Esclene Moore; and special friend and caregiver, Cheryl Orser.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lila Moore Adams will be held Friday, December 13th at 1:00 PM from Gordon Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Gary Rustad officiating. A memorial service will held Saturday, December 14th at 3:00 PM from the Calhoun 7th Day Adventist Church. Active pallbearers will include Michael Adams, Devin Adams, Seth Adams, Deo Rhudy, and Brandon.

The Adams family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
