Lillian Pauline Cochran of Calhoun passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Calhoun Health Care Center, following an extended illness.
She was born in Gordon County, daughter of the late Paul and Vera Williams Cochran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Kelley McDaniel, and two brothers, J.R. Cochran and Glenn Cochran. During her lifetime, she was employed as a secretary for a local textile firm, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Ranger.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Guess of Calhoun; and a brother, Jimmy Cochran of New Brockton, Alabama. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to honor the life of Lillian Pauline Cochran will be conducted Saturday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 1:00pm. Rev. Lawrence Silvers will officiate. Private interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
