Lillie Mae Heath Mills

Mrs. Lillie Mae Heath Mills, 73 of Calhoun, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home. She was born in Bartow County on June 6, 1942, daughter of the late Albert and Ruby Morris Heath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son, Danny and Tammy Mills; and her husband, W. Calvin Mills.

Mrs. Mills attended Calvary Baptist Church, where she sang in the Calvary Trio.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory David Mills and his wife April, and Tony Calvin Mills; a daughter, Deborah Mills Ball and her husband Jimmy, all of Calhoun; brothers, James Dewey Heath, and Leon Heath; and sisters, Beulah Williams, Marie "Petey" Kirby, Jannie Turner, Jeannie Heath, Carolyn Heath, and Addie Swims. Grandchildren surviving are Mickey Ball, Tracy Rush, Chrissy Ball, Jasmine Van Dyke, Russell Brunni, Jacob Mills, and Anthony Mills. Eighteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Heath Mills will be held Thursday, August 27th at 3:00 pm from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. Mrs. Mills will lie in state at the church on Thursday from noon until the funeral hour. Music will be arranged by Linda Anderson. Interment will follow the service in the Old Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Matthew Rush, Dusty Windiate, Joey Windiate, Thomas Redwine, Billy Massingil, and Michael Fryar.

The Mills family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
