Mrs. Lillie Pearl Cochran Bennett, age 82 of Adairsville, died Monday, January 2, 2012 following several years of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on July 25, 1929, daughter of the late Chet and Willie Belle Evans Cochran, and was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Bennett in 1986.

Mrs. Bennett was retired from Calmor, Inc. of Adairsville after 30 years of employment.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Bennett Fletcher and her husband Leonard of Adairsville, and Darlene Bennett Bryson and her husband Don of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Celina and David Locke, Monty and Tracy Bennett, Mendi and Toby Holsomback, Misty and Ryan Coker, and Jeff and Susie Fletcher. Great grandchildren are Mason and Myles Bennett, Mollie Locke, Laney and Rice Holsomback, Christopher and Cameron Fletcher, Kaiden Coker, and Ashley and Allison Breneman. A brother, Mr. F.M. Cochran of Calhoun; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Pearl Cochran Bennett will be held Wednesday, January 4th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Stephen Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Music will be arranged by Ryan Coker. Pallbearers serving will include grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family of Mrs. Lillie Pearl Cochran Bennett will receive friends Tuesday between the hours of 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The family requests flowers be omitted and donations be made in Mrs. Bennett's name to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
