Mrs. Linda Faye Steele, age 63 of Calhoun, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on November 3, 1949, daughter of the late William Howard Kinman and the late Adell Cline Kinman.
Mrs. Steele was self-employed as a caregiver, and had also been a Special Education teacher at Liberty and Swain Schools. She had received a Bachelor's degree from Berry College and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from West Georgia College. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Gail Kinman; a sister, Eileen Fowler, all of Calhoun; nieces and nephews, Kevin Fowler, Kenny Fowler, Kim Harrison, Brad Kinman, Jennifer Kinman Gentry, and Damaris Fowler; and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Faye Steele will be held Thursday, July 4th at 10:00 AM from the Salem Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, with Dr. William Roberts officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the NFBGA.
