Linda Faye Whitfield Davis

Mrs. Linda Faye Whitfield Davis, age 67 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Gordon County, GA on January 9, 1947, daughter of the late J.C. and Annie Bell Sheriff Whitfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Gene Davis.

Mrs. Davis had retired from Shaw Industries. She was a member of Plainville Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her son, Chris Langley of Calhoun; her daughter, Tammy Burchett of Plainville; a brother, James Whitfield of Calhoun; and sisters, Jean Nantz and Sandra Moore, both of Dallas, GA. Grandchildren are Byron Langley of Brooks, GA, Cross Langley, Jessica Worley, Joshua Tinsley, and Audria Burchett, all of Calhoun; and a great-grandchild, P.J. Tinsley. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Faye Whitfield Davis will be held Saturday, December 27th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 27th from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 3:00 PM.
