Linda Jenkins

Mrs. Linda Parker Jenkins, age 44 of Fairmount, GA died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her residence following several years of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on April 21, 1969, daughter of William Parker and Micky and Gene Ellis.

Linda loved being in the outdoors, and hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

She leaves behind her husband of 24 years 10 months, Wiley Thomas Jenkins of the residence; parents, William Parker and Micky and Gene Ellis; three sons, Cody Jenkins of Fairmount, Tommy Jenkins and his wife Kimberly of Adairsville, and Sammy McGee of Ranger; a daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Tommy Smith of Brookhaven, MS; a step-son, Christopher Ridley of Dalton; three brothers, Timmy Parker and his wife Mary of Sugar Valley, and Glenn Parker and Joey Fowler, both of Calhoun; six sisters, Merisa Parker of Atlanta, Jamie Hutchens of Sugar Valley, Sandy Goodwin of Resaca, Suzie Hall of Fairmount, Sherry Angel of Fairmount, and Stacie Silvers of Oakman; and grandchildren, Elijah, Micah, and Mary Brown. Other survivors are her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Sue Slaton; close friend, Kristie Higgins; cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Parker Jenkins will be held Sunday, October 13th at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jared Raines officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

The Jenkins family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour of 4:00 PM.
