Linda Lee Dilbeck

Mrs. Linda Lee Dilbeck, age 63 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Dilbeck was born on May 6, 1947 in Gordon County, daughter of Jessie Lee Timms Griffin and the late John Martin Griffin. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Sue Parker. She was a graduate of Fairmount High School, class of 1965, and was associated with the K-Mart Corporation for fifteen years in the Accounting Department. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and was an avid bowler. Mrs. Dilbeck was a member of the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church, and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the American Legion.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Dilbeck, to whom she was married for 37 years; two daughters, Jennifer Gabriella Dilbeck of Calhoun, and Jessica Marie Guess and her husband Chad Grant of Ranger; a son, Jack Alvin Corn and his wife Lisa Kay of Richmond, Kentucky; her mother, Jessie Lee Griffin; two sisters, Judy Thomas of Fairmount and Sharon Horner of Calhoun; and two brothers, Johnny Griffin of Fairmount and Timmy Griffin of Ranger. Grandchildren surviving are Brittney Fuller, Haley Corn, Emmy Corn, Logan Guess, Maggie Goss and Shelbie Day Leanne Guess; and a great grandchild, Brayden Carmack. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Lee Dilbeck will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2:00pm from the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Pasley officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Lee Hefner, Daryle Hefner, Kevin Dilbeck, Martin Horner, Dustin Thomas, John (Littleman) Thomas, Jonathan Griffin, Jacob Griffin, Jeremy Griffin, Logan Guess and Jack Corn. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday beginning at 4:00pm.
