Linda Pitts Black

Mrs. Linda Pitts Black age 66 of Calhoun, died Tuesday July 2, 2013 in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN., following complications of a Cerebral Hemorrhage on July 1st.

Mrs. Black was born in Rome, Georgia on June 10, 1947, daughter of the late George Cagle Pitts and the late Violet Mae Winkle Pitts. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry Wilson in 2010 and by a sister, Frances Pitts and by two brothers, Clifford Pitts and Buster Pitts.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Black to whom she was married for 48 years, two daughters, Cindy Wilson of Calhoun and Sherry Sullivan and her husband Marlin of Calhoun. Four grandchildren, Tori Wilson, Sharika Kinsey, Blake Sullivan and Adam Sullivan. Special great grandchildren, Khail and Kambrie Kinsey along with other great grandchildren, three sisters; Lois Dover, Marie Lovins and Victoria Owensby all of Calhoun and four brothers; Sam Pitts, Glenn Pitts and Hank Pitts all of Calhoun and Ronnie Pitts of Plainville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Pitts Black will be conducted Friday July 5th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Ray officiating. A private family graveside ceremony will follow at White Graves Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Walter Pitts, Jamey Black, Michael Rooker, Adam Sullivan, Pat Young and Blake Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers include; Brian Young, Tony Black, Marlin Sullivan, Doug Lindsey and Geoff Rayburn. Music will be arranged by Kenny Wells.

The Black Family will receive friends on Friday July 5th between the hours of 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
