Lois Lee Coggins

Mrs. Lois Lee Coggins, age 81 of Ranger, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, March 20, 2011 at her residence following several years of declining health.

She was born on September 8, 1929 in the Oakman community, daughter of the late Rev. Noah Webb Ralston and Jessie Christmas Williams Ralston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Coggins in 2000; two sons, Archie D. Coggins and Allen Darrell Coggins; and a grandchild, Christina Kate Coggins. Mrs. Coggins was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors are three daughters, Kathy King and her husband Kim, Kay Russell and her husband Neal, all of Calhoun, and Renay Coggins of Ranger; a son, Ricky Coggins and his wife Kathy of Calhoun; four sisters, Ella Cox and her husband Doyle, Martha Parker and her husband Gene, Brenda Cornwell and her late husband Ted, and Mary McGhee and her late husband J.C., all of Ranger; and a brother, Webb Ralston, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Ranger. Grandchildren surviving are Cassandra Coggins Parker, Kate Coggins, Thomas King, Corey King, Mandy King Robertson, and Heather Russell Mashburn; and great-grandchildren, Samantha Anne Coggins, Addison Cole King, Murphy West Robertson, and Jarred and Jacob Parker. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Lee Coggins will be conducted Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. J.B. Ezell officiating. Rev. Knox Fite will conduct the committal service at the Campbell Cemetery at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Pallbearers serving will include, Danny Parker, Timmy Parker, Barry Parker, Garson Cornwell, Scotty Cornwell, Justice McGhee, Shane McGhee, Jerome McGhee and Keith Ralston.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday beginning at 5:30pm.
