Lois Quinn Hall

Mrs. Lois Quinn Hall, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She was born in Gordon County on April 2, 1925, daughter of the late James Mark and Ethel Scott Quinn. During her lifetime, Mrs. Hall was employed as a waitress at B.J.'s Restaurant, and was a member of the East Calhoun Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ford Quinn, and a sister, Jean Densmore.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Edwards of Calhoun, Greg Reed and his wife Syble of Acworth, and Gary Reed and his wife Joan of Cartersville; two daughters, Peggy Reed of Rocky Face, and Suzanne Reed Newman and her husband Omar of Woodstock; two brothers, C.L. Quinn and his wife Viola of Calhoun, and George (Leroy) Quinn and his wife Judy of Dalton. Four grandchildren, Chris Ray of Cartersville, Alex Reed of Acworth, Meghan Carnes of Rocky Face, and Trevor Newman of Woodstock; three great-grandchildren, Zeke Reed, Kiera Ray, and Paisley Ray, all of Cartersville; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Quinn Hall will be conducted Friday, June 26 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Reid officiating. Interment will follow in the Fidele Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Eddie Dickinson, Danny Dickinson, Lee Quinn, Jerry Quinn, Rae Quinn, Scott Lavelle, Ron McLendon, and Larry Black. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 10:15am. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Fowler, Byron Phillips, Greg Silvers, Ashley Carter, Don Haley, and Rayford Russell, and they may meet at the funeral home Friday at 10:45am.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
