Lonnie Carroll

Lonnie B. Carroll, 71, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on August 26, 2023. He was born on April 16, 1952, to the late Horace and Pauline Maples Carroll. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Delores Carroll; his daughter in 1976, Regina Leigh Carroll; nephew, Brian Stansell; brother-in-law, Clyde Stanfield; and great-nephew, Dylan Stansell.

Lonnie worked for O’Reilly’s Auto Parts for over 20 years. He loved old westerns, working on automobiles, and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beverly Carroll; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jeff James; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Shelly Carroll and Justin Ferguson; grandson, Ryan James; granddaughter, Emma James; bonus grandchildren, Kami and Dustin Jones; great-grandsons, “Lil” Lonnie Carroll, Jase Ferguson, Jordan Ferguson, Mason Ferguson; bonus great-granddaughter, Kaylee Jones; sister, Linda Stanfield; nephews, Travis Stansell and Brandon Headrick; nieces and nephew-in-law, Penny Baker, Joy and Shannon Camp; brothers-in-law, Ron Perone and Frank Perone; and several great nieces and nephews, Caleb Stansell, Kaylee Stansell Crawley, Landon Headrick, Shannon Headrick, Jackson Stansell, Breanna Stansell, and Avery Headrick.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family ask that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
