Lonnie Mullins

Mr. Lonnie Mullins, age 61 of Plainville, GA died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Floyd Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Max County, TN on May 21, 1950, son of the late Fred and Gladys Palmer Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Mullins, Sam Mullins, and Ronnie Mullins; and a sister, Delimae Clark.

Lonnie was a good father and grandfather, and loved everyone. He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Barbra Fowler Mullins of the residence; a son, Michael Hornbuckel of Cartersville; four daughters, Amanda Williams of Rome, Mary Ellen Dunn of Plainville; and Denise Crowe and Shantel Towns, both of Rydal; a brother, Fred Mullins, Jr. of Spring City, TN; and a sister, Sue Thompson of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Ellen Williams, Tina Williams, Kaylob and Tiffany Dunn, Shane Williams, and Raymond Williams.

Funeral services for Mr. Lonnie Mullins will be held Saturday, March 17th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Greg Crowe, George Hall, Michael Hornbuckel, David Fowler, and Jacob Weiss. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Fowler and Steven Fowler.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 9:30am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
