Lorean Greeson

Mrs. Mary Lorean Greeson, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Gordon Health Care Center.

Mrs. Greeson was born on December 15, 1919 in Murray County, Georgia, daughter of the late Robert Nolan and Ora Gray Nolan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde H. Greeson to whom she married on November 05, 1938; and sisters, Louise Nolan Carter and Juanita Nolan Awtrey. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she was baptized in 1937.

Mrs. Greeson is survived by two brothers; Loyd Nolan and his wife Inez of Chatsworth, and Jimmy Nolan and his wife Pearl of Rocky Face; and a brother-in-law, G.W. Awtrey of Powder Springs. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lorean Greeson will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00pm from the Hopewell Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Singing will be arranged by Mrs. Mable Harris, Mrs. Mary Wilson and Mrs. Iris Parker. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday during the hours of 4:30pm and 9:00pm.
