Obituary

Louise Hobgood Cowart, 87, of Plainville died at her home on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Louise was born in Gordon County on September 30, 1932; she was the daughter of the late Penny and Vernie Hobgood. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cowart; her son, Rodolfo Hobgood Ruiz; her brothers, Max Hobgood and George Hobgood; her sisters, Wynell Dodd and Juanita Hobgood. She was a member of Unity Baptist church; she attended Fellowship Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping to prepare and serve the senior meals.
Louise is survived by her niece, Marie West; her nephew, Dexter Hobgood; her friends, Sandra Langston, Melba, Bo, Christy, and L.J. Nicholson, Wyman Autry, Maxine Floyd, Shaleaha Childers, Debbie Moore, Tiffany Fuller, and Jim Miller.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. from Blackwood Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate.
