Mrs. Louise Timms Holbrook, age 73 of Ranger, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Redmond Medical Center.
She was born on June 30, 1937 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Will and Lacey Singleton Timms.
Mrs. Holbrook is survived by her husband, Gary Holbrook; four daughters, Barbara Turner and her husband Ronnie of Hinton, Patricia Padgett of Jasper, Hazel Buchannon and her husband Randall of Ball Ground, and Mildred Young and her husband Preston of Ranger; three sons, Ralph Young and his wife Faye of Ball Ground, Elmer Young and his wife Diane of Ludville, and Delmar Young and his wife Heather of Ranger; a sister, Jessie Lee Griffin of Fairmount; and three brothers, A.C. Timms, Clarence Timms, and J.C. Timms. Grandchildren surviving are Carrie Childers, Kimberly Turner, Tony Turner, Adrian Buchannon, Crissy Buchannon, Jason Young, Jessica Young, Doug Padgett, Eddie Hitt, Melissa Ledbetter, Michael Blaylock, Tracy Blaylock, and Mary Patton. Twenty-seven great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, step great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Timms Holbrook will be conducted Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00pm from the Friendship Baptist Church in Ludville, with Rev. Ed Pasley officiating. Music will be arranged by Charles and Brenda Timms. Pallbearers include Jay Patton, Eric Hitt, Michael Blaylock, Jason Young, Adrian Buchannon, Jason Ledbetter, Bobby Pervet and Derrick Fuller. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
