Louise Pack Mulkey

Mrs. Louise Pack Mulkey, age 71 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008. She was born in Gordon County on January 17, 1937, daughter of the late Sam and Josephine Hopgood Pack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle William Mulkey; a son, Sammy "J.R." Mulkey; brothers, Bud Pack, Curtis Pack, and Gene Pack; and sisters, Eva Lou Allen Pack and Janie Greeson.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Terry and Regina Mulkey of Lake Mary, Florida, and Donnie Mulkey and Christy Shephard of Rossville; a daughter, Pat Mulkey of Tunnel Hill; three brothers, Sam Pack, Raymond Pack, and Jackie Pack, all of Calhoun; three sisters, Shirley Weeks and Helen Bailey of Calhoun, and Faye Pack of Saint Simons; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Pack Mulkey will be conducted Friday, October 17 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the Crane Eater Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Donnie Mulkey, Paul DeFoor, Tony Newman, Zach Green, Billy Green, and Larry Greeson. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 12:15pm. Honorary pallbearers are Brenda Wilson, Jeff Ray, Timmy Stanfield, Chuck Buchanan, Barry Greeson, Dale McClamrock, and David Louis. They are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 12:30pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday at 6:00pm.
