Louise Rogers

Stella "Louise" Rogers, 91, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2025. She was born in Kingston, Georgia, on November 6, 1933, to the late Willie and Birdie Waits. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.D. Rogers, of 58 years.

She is survived by her sons; Rooster Rogers (Susie Bennett), Jim (Sharon) Rogers, Kenny (Melanie) Rogers; daughter, Dolly Rogers; grandchildren, Kristin (Chuck) Holbert, Katie Rogers, Cameron (Josh) Howard, Kelli Rogers, Kimberly Coker, Karli Rogers; great-grandson, Briggs Holbert.

Louise was a faithful member of Eastgate Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family more than anything. She was known for her cooking and loved to tend to the garden and flowers in her yard. She spent a lot of her time on her front porch with a cup of coffee.

The family would like to thank the staff of Homespun Hospice for their incredible care.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Eastgate Baptist Church.

The funeral service will follow the visitation on Sunday at 3:00 PM from Eastgate Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Rogers and Rev. Lane Tow officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Stamey, Ronald Pass, Keith Cochran, Robbie White, Chris Knight, Kevin Knight, Mac Knight, and Chuck Holbert.
