Lucille Mangum

Mrs. Lucille Mangum of Calhoun, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. She was born on July 17, 1933, daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Childers Blalock. Mrs. Mangum was retired from Goodyear, and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Mangum in 1996.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Anthony and Candace Mangum; a daughter, Gay Swain of Calhoun; two brothers, Edward Blalock of Cartersville, and A.J. (Buddy) Blalock of Adairsville; three sisters, Dorothy Lee Goodwin, Frances Benson, and Inez Buckner, all of Cartersville; and two grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Season Minten and her son Luke, and Amanda Davis and her son Bryce. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lucille Mangum will be conducted Sunday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Olen Holmes, Neal Davis, Robert Goodwin, Troy Casey, Tony Burk and Wayne Buckner.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Son Funeral Home on Saturday April l2, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
