Luther Chitwood

Mr. Luther "Bo" Chitwood, age 82 of Newnan, formerly of Gordon County, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010.

He was born on March 3, 1928 in Athens, Georgia, son of the late Franklin and Katie Inez Smith Chitwood. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Arva Blalock Chitwood. During his lifetime he was employed as a welder.

Mr. Chitwood is survived by two daughters, Debbie Cochran of Newnan, and Catherine Lee of Paris, Texas; a son, Ronnie Chitwood of Calhoun; a brother, Gene Daniel of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Leslie Chitwood, Sierra Cochran, and Dallas Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Luther "Bo" Chitwood will be conducted Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 2:30pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow on Monday, November 22nd at 10:00am in the Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, with Rev. Daniel Brown conducting the committal service. Honorary pallbearers will include Daniel Brown, Boyd Blalock, Allen Blalock, Ron Hendry, Donald Blalock and Tommy Blalock.
