Obituary

Gloria Lynne (Newton) Jones, 75, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away at her residence, Sunday morning March 28, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family.
Lynne was born on September 15, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late George L. Newton and Vernice Gay Gauntt Newton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Anne Newton and Billie Gay Hogan. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Burns Road Baptist Church in Lilburn, Georgia and Westside Baptist Church in Snellville, Georgia as secretary and Baxter Waste in Cartersville, Georgia as secretary; she was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Calhoun.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Clyde W. Jones to whom she was married for 56 years; two daughters, Sandra L. Cash and her husband, Randy, Patricia A. Rhinehart and her husband Jim; Grandchildren, Victoria Lynne Cash, Rebekah Elizabeth Cash, Katherine Anna Louise Cash, Jamie Lynn (Rhinehart) Smith and her husband Mason and Elizabeth Anne Rhinehart; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hogan; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service to celebrate the life of Gloria Lynne Jones will be held April 10, 2021, at 3:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Adair officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM preceding the service. Larry Mize will have charge of the music.
