Obituary

Margaret Laynette Douthitt, 62, of Resaca, Georgia died Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was born on July 6, 1958 in Gordon County, Georgia to the late Myrl Lee and Carolyn Reed Webb Stephens. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Lee Stephens and brother-in-law, Jimmy Blankenship.
She recently retired from Mannington Mills after 25 years of service and attended The Gathering Place in Dalton, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Daniel Douthitt, daughters, Heather Douthitt and Shannon DeSha White; Stepchildren, Cindy Renee Delgadillo, Jennifer( Mark ) Young, and Jessica ( Adam ) Jennings; sister, Diane Blankenship; sister-in-law, Penny Stephens; grandchildren, Brandon Delgadillo, Austin Revels, Alex Delgadillo, Hailey Cole, Hope Young, Sarah Jennings, Alycia Revels, Brian Revels, Savannah Jennings, Aiden Jennings, Lucas Jordan, and Morgan Jennings; great grandchildren, Dylan, Rose, and Lukas; several friends and other family members also survive.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 6:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Miller officiating. Pallbearers serving include, Mike Nixon, Austin Revels, Brian Revels, and Mark Young.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour of 6:00 PM. Due to Covid- 19 Pandemic, social distancing guidelines will be observed.
