Margaret Louise Hilley

Mrs. Margaret Louise Clark Hilley; age 79, affectionately known as "Memaw" of the Pine Chapel Community, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2008 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Hilley was born on May 20, 1928 in Whitfield County, daughter of the late Claude Clark and Mattie Spence Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. (Bill) Hilley in 2007, a great-grandson, Lance Corporal Cody Warren United States Marine Corp in 2006, and by a son-in-law, Billy Bright in 1992. She was a retired employee of Georgia Textile as a supervisor after 48 years of service, and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hilley is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Hilley Bright and her late husband Billy; two grandchildren, Charles Martin (Marty) Bright, and Robin Bright Patterson and her husband Tim; and great grandchildren, Blake and Ethan Warren, and Dylan Patterson. One sister, Frances Baxter, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Louise Clark Hilley will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include Marty Bright, Blake Warren, Ethan Warren, Tim Patterson, Keith Ray, Anthony Hilley, Eddie Hilley and Jason Hilley. Honorary pallbearers serving will include Billy Faucett, Art Downey, Junior Brackett and Boyd Highfield. Interment will follow the service at the Fain Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening, after 5:00 PM
