Mrs. Marie Patton Woodall, age 80 of Resaca, GA died suddenly Monday April 1, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Woodall was born in Whitfield County, GA on March 6, 1933, daughter of the late Nim L. Patton and Ella Mae Burns Patton. She was a member of New Zion Hill Baptist Church in Dalton.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Chester Woodall, to whom she was married for 58 years; two sons, Herbert Chester Woodall Jr. and his wife Cindy of Fairmount, and Michael Wayne Woodall and his wife Pam of Resaca; four grandchildren, Jason Alan Woodall, Brandon Michael Woodall, Jennifer Ashley Woodall and Kalia Brooke Cassels; seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Audrey, Josslynn, Michael and Kassidy Woodall, Jordan Nance, and Lillie Hill; and a brother, Billy Patton and his wife Sally of Plainville. Neices, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Patton Woodall will be conducted Wednesday, April 3rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Westmoreland and Rev. Tim Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery near Resaca. Pallbearers serving will include Wendell Patton, Morgan Cassels, Tyrel Mulkey, Troy Cross, Dylan Cronan and Henry Nance.

The Woodall family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2nd between the hours of 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
