Marie Ruth Leatherwood

Marie Ruth Brandt Leatherwood was called home to be with her Lord on January 10, 2012. She was born August 5, 1922 in Munson, PA, one of eleven children born to A.J. and Mary Brandt. She grew up in Mt. Holly, NJ. Marie attended Philadelphia College of the Bible, Philadelphia, PA and later used the teacher training received there as a teacher at Red Bud School. She met the "love of her life", Bill Leatherwood during WWII while he was a soldier stationed at Fort Dix, NJ.

Later after all her children were in school she became an LPN through training at Gordon County Hospital. She spent the majority of her nursing career in what she called the "Happy Department" A
