Marie Stewart Bentley

Marie Stewart Bentley, 80, of Calhoun died at Gordon Healthcare on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Marie was born in Gordon County on January 7, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Vera Hall Stewart. Marie was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bentley, in 2001. She retired from Mannington Mills. Marie was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her children, Marva Bentley Allen, Mike, and his wife, Kim Bentley; her grandchildren, Crystal Cantrell, Amanda Schwanbeck, and Ashley Allen; her siter, Polly Dean; her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Trent, Rylan, and Harlow; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
To honor Maries wishes, her body was cremated. The memorial service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. from Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Rev. Alan Miller will officiate. The Bentley family will receive friends at the church on Monday, January 2 from 5:00 until the service at 6:00 p.m.
