Marie Trubey Lacourt Baker

Mrs. Marie Trubey-LaCourt-Baker, age 98 of Calhoun, passed away October 24, 2007 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Glen Elder, Kansas on August 29, 1909, daughter of the late Jesse F. and Mable Sample Trubey. Mrs. Baker was a retired nurse, having worked at Oconto Memorial Hospital for 20 years as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Calhoun Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mable Trubey; by sisters, Reta Christman and Beulah Doubet; brother, Amos Trubey; a grandson, Mark LaCourt, and a granddaughter, Miki Dolata.

Her first husband was Francis M. LaCourt, to whom she was married from 1942 until his death on February 15, 1972. Her second husband was Clarence Baker. They were married from 1979 until his death in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Edwin LaCourt and his wife Rosanne of Mazomanie, Wisconsin; stepsons, Curtis LaCourt and his wife Sherri of Oconto, Wisconsin, and Marvin LaCourt and his wife Barbara of Eau Claire, Michigan. A brother, Lester Trubey, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister, Ila Ballard of Calhoun, Georgia; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Marie Trubey-LaCourt-Baker will be conducted at 3:00pm Saturday, November 3 from the Calhoun Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with Pastors Phil White, Dave Smith, and Ken Mittleider officiating. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Oconto, Wisconsin at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to memorial funds established at Quiet Hour of Redlands, California, The Coble Elementary School Library of Calhoun, and the United Hospice of Calhoun.
