Marilyn Kay Holder

Marilyn Kay Chastain Holder, 72 of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2024 at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia.

She was born on February 21, 1951, the daughter of the late Ben and Mary Jane Massingill Chastain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Jack Holder; son, David Holder; sister, Elizabeth Chastain. She attended Armuchee School and prior to ill health she was employed with Carriage Industries as a tufting machine operator.

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Holder and Mary Holder Collins and her husband Roger; son Lee Holder; grandchildren, Samuel Holder, Chris and David Holder, Roger Collins III, Nikki Nesbitt, Charlene Phillips, Elizabeth Collins; great-grandchildren, Zoey Collins, Roger Collins IV., Shaun and Jonathan Nesbitt, Collen and Elijah Phillips, Maryann Lingerfelt and Bobby Bible along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, January 14^th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Childers officiating. The family ask that flowers be omitted and contributions to assist the family with final expenses will be greatly appreciated. You can contact the funeral home for further information.
