Mrs. Marjorie Anne Naymick, 86 of Calhoun, GA died Monday, July 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in Washington, DC on September 25, 1930, daughter of the late Emmett and Katherine Payton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Naymick, M.D.; Marjorie and George forged a life together from their beautiful home in Newell, W.V. that supported and cultivated the lives of not only their own children but many others as well. Their doors were always open. Siblings, Georgia Collie and Thomas Payton also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Naymick was a veteran, serving our country in the Womens Army Corp during the Korean War. She earned a post-graduate degree in Nursing. She was a member of St. Timothys Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her children, Geoffrey P. Naymick (Maggie) of Union, NJ, Thomas Coleman (Laura) of Jacksonville, FL, Katherine E. Naymick, DO of Ranger, GA, George R. Naymick (Marsha) of Orlando, FL, Stephen A. Naymick, DO (Stephanie) of Hanover, PA, Joseph A. Naymick (Barbara) of Calhoun and Theresa P. Naymick-Forman (Hal) of Daytona, FL; her sisters, Pat McCann (Marty) of Ocala, FL, Sue Lewis (Sonny) of Arizona, and Ellen Medlin (Joe) of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Naymick, Hilarie Naymick, Lt. Andrew Naymick, USN Medical Corp., Adam Naymick, Jessie Schwertfegr, Sam Hall, M.D., Henry Naymick, Jayne Naymick and Alex Naymick.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Father Louis Tonsmeire officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, July 13th between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
