Martha Ann Huggins

Mrs. Martha Ann George Huggins, 80, of Resaca, Georgia passed away peacefully at her residence, Monday, May 29, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Huggins was born in Deport, Texas on May 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Cecil Sylvester George and Nora Lee Foster George. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Rev. Hubert Riley Huggins on May 1, 2019; a grandson, Christopher Michael Neal Robinette and daughter-in-law, Stacy Margena Morrow Huggins.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy since the age of 12, served as a ministers wife faithfully for many years, loved God, loved people, loved her family and loved her friends. She played the piano and sang with her family. She was the best mom ever.

Survivors include her four children, Ellen Jeanette and Mark Allen Benning, Donna Renee and Frank LaRoy Robinette, Hubert Neal Huggins and Brenda Elizabeth and Larry Don Peterson; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren along with neice, nephews and other relatives.

The funeral service for Mrs. Martha Ann Huggins will be held Friday, June 2nd at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Smith and Rev. Ricky Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Rev. Mark Benning in charge of the graveside service.. Pallbearers serving will include Joshua Benning, Jedadia Peterson, Jason McDaniel, Landon Robinette, Riley Robinette and Mason McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Petterson, Frank Robinette and Mark Benning.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 1st between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
