Martha Fae Gillespie

Mrs. Martha Fae Gillespie, age 76 of Plainville, GA passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Sinclair County, AL on October 4, 1934, daughter of the late Barry and Pauline Swindell Collier.

Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker during her lifetime, and a member of Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship. She was a former member of Asheville Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Asheville, AL.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene David Gillespie of the residence; a son, Dick David Gillespie and his wife Janssen of Plainville; a daughter, Joyce Huard and her husband Ed of Auburndale, FL; a brother, Oscar Collier of Astatula, FL; and a sister, Sharon Rodriguez of Largo, FL. Other survivors are grandchildren, Nicole Simmons, Michelle and Billy Banks, and Rachael Miller; and great-grandchildren, Jordon Simmons, Noah Simmons, Jonah Simmons, Gabby Simmons, Brandon Carpenter, Tiffany Manior, Julieann Calhoun, and Evan Bryson. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Fae Gillespie will be held Saturday, August 27th at 1:00pm from Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship, with Pastor Hershel Pierce, Pastor Joe Odom, and Pastor Jerry Stevens officiating.

The family will receive friends at Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Friday from 5:30pm until 8:30pm, and again Saturday until the funeral hour of 1:00pm.
