Marty Vinson Hightower

Marty Vinson Hightower, age 22 of Calhoun, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Whitfield County on April 14, 1989, son of Tommy Vinson Hightower and Cindy Ann Burchett Hightower, and was preceded in death by grandfathers, Bill Burchett and Jim Tom Hightower.

Marty was a graduate of Gordon Central High School, and was employed by Evco Plastics. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his father, Tommy Vinson Hightower; his mother, Cindy Ann Burchett Hightower; grandmothers, Marie Burchett and Lucille Hightower; aunts and uncles, Judy and Lee Rankin, Jimmy Hightower, and Phyllis; a special cousin, Zachary Leonard, and other cousins.

Funeral services for Marty Vinson Hightower will be held Sunday, January 29th at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Marty's body will be cremated following the service according to his wishes.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00pm until the funeral hour of 3:00pm.
