Marvin Balliew

Mr. Marvin "Pug" Balliew, 74, of Cartersville, and formerly of Calhoun, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 following several years of declining health.

Pug was born in Gordon County on September 7, 1941. He was the son of the late Rev. T.J. and Flora Hicks Balliew. For more than forty years, he was a contractor. Pug was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

To honor Pug's request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside on Thursday morning.
