Marvin Lee Burns

Rev. Marvin Lee Burns, age 67 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gordon County on March 10, 1945, son of the late James J. and Ruby Lee Franks Burns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Burns, and a grandson, James William Burns, Jr.

Prior to his illness, Marvin was self-employed in the construction industry.

Survivors include five sons, Marvin Seritt and his wife Vicki of Shannon, James Burns and his wife Tonya of Adairsville, Jeff Burns of Adairsville, Jerry Burns and his wife BJ of Centre, AL, and Joel Burns and his wife Kristina of Dalton; a daughter, Julia Judd and her husband Mike of Adairsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Lori Burns of Calhoun, and Jimmy and Celine Collie of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Tammy Burns of Calhoun, Sherry Johnson of Chatsworth, and Katherine Jordan of Centre, AL; his fiancA
