Mrs. Mary Ann Elizabeth Wilson, age 70 of Oakman, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009. She was born in Gordon County on August 2, 1938, daughter of the late Mack Andrews and Dorothy Cato. Mrs. Wilson was a longtime member of the Fairview Trio, and was retired from Mannington Mills. She was a member of the Fairview Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Andrews and Wayne Andrews.

Survivors include her husband, Ben Willis Wilson, to whom she was married for 52 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Ben Douglas and Brooke Wilson of Savannah; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Steven Samples of Oakman; Tamya and Daryl Warren of Dews Pond, and Dori and Bruce Moore of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Martha Andrews of Powder Springs; and two sisters, Mable Harris of Oakman, and Edna Corn of Dalton. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Elizabeth Wilson will be conducted Wednesday, April 1 at 4:00pm from the Fairview Church of God, with Rev. DaRon Henson and Rev. Ed Pasley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Johnny Parker, Richie Parker, Steven Samples, Bruce Moore, Daryl Warren, and Jerry Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Tatum, Jr. and Danny Gowens. Mrs. Wilson will lie in state Wednesday at the Fairview Church of God from 3:00pm until the funeral hour of 4:00pm. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday after 5:00pm.
