Mary Ann Goforth

Mrs. Mary Ann Goforth, age 60 of Resaca, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009. She was born in Gordon County on January 4, 1949, daughter of the late James and Eva Chadwick Stone. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Talmadge Goforth; two brothers, Howard and Tom Stone; and three sisters, Nina Lou North, Mary Evelyn Moss, and Carol Cameron.

Survivors include a son, Bobby "Snoopy" Goforth of Calhoun; two daughters, Melissa Partion and Crystal Goforth, both of Calhoun; a brother, Jimmy Stone of Macon; two sisters, Kathy Oglesby of Calhoun, and Dot Poole of Banks County, GA. Three grandchildren, Trinity Partion, Terrance Chapman and Michael Boggs; and three great-grandchildren, Austin and Andrius Lopez, and Adelina Faith Partion also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Goforth will be conducted Thursday, September 24 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Pace officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include James Welchel, Terry Charvat, Terrence Partion, Joey Muse, Bobby Mulkey, and Johnny Mulkey. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Thursday at 10:15am.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday morning from 9:00am until 11:00am.
