Mrs. Mary Ann James Gehringer, age 72 of Calhoun, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Gordon County, born on December 28, 1938 to the late Duel Ben Goodnight and the late Myrtle Clark Goodnight. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lelton Bradley James.
During her lifetime, she was employed in the textile industry, and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sarah James, Terry and Darlene James, and Jeffery and Kathy Jo James, all of Calhoun; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Greg Brown of Adairsville, and Susan and Stephen Bullard of Calhoun; a brother, Tony Goodnight of Calhoun; two sisters, Faye Holt of Calhoun, and Phyllis Bladin of Thompson, GA. Eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Mary Ann James Gehringer will be conducted Tuesday, March 22nd at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Apostle Curtis Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00am until the service hour of 1:00pm.
