Mary Brown

Mrs. Mary E. Moore Brown, age 80 of Calhoun, GA died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Brown was born on October 6, 1931, daughter of the late Andrew and Mabel Corder Lawson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David Brown; a brother, Benny Lawson; and sister, Fran Sykes. She was retired from GTE Alltell Communications, and was a member of the Victory Fellowship Center in Calhoun.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a son, Marc Moore and his wife Carol, owners and operators of Tomorrow Entertainment Company of Calhoun; a sister-in-law, Shirley Lawson of Springhill, FL; and an aunt, Ruby Paris of West Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Mary E. Moore Brown will be conducted Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm from the Victory Fellowship Center, with Bishop Maurice Simmons, Elder Marc Moore, and Elder Joe Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday prior to the memorial service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery, Blue Field, WV.
