Mary Elizabeth Wells

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wells, age 87 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born in Broometown, Alabama on September 9, 1923, daughter of the late Gladys Daugherty Goodman. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Washington Wells; a daughter, Mary Jean Wells, and a brother, Frederick Charles Goodman. Mrs. Wells was a homemaker during her lifetime and a member of the Big Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Randall (Randy) Wells and his wife Diane of Florida; a daughter, B.J. Wells of Calhoun; grandchildren, Karsson Brock Durham and Kaleb Durham; and great-grandchildren, Bryson Durham, Brooklyn Durham, Randia Wells, and Bradley Wells. Many friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wells will be conducted Wednesday, October 6th at 4:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Bro. Elmer Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 4:00pm.
