Obituary
Mary Helen Wade Goss, 96, of Calhoun died at her home on Monday, September 16, 2019, following a year of declining health. Mary was born in Browndale, Georgia on May 29, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Pinkney and Allie Kate Wade. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zane Goss, in 1974; her grandsons, David Goss and Brian Goss. Mary lived in her house for more than fifty-one years. She treasured her many neighbors; they were her friends. She was a member of Blackwood Springs Baptist Church and she deeply loved her church family.
Mary is survived by her children, Ronald Goss and his wife, Yvonne, Larry P. Goss and his wife, Peggy Thompson Goss, and Linda Brooks and her husband, David; her grandchildren, Brandon (Amber) Goss, Jamie (Dustin) Fisher, Corey (Suzanne) Goss, Matthew (Ashly) Brooks, and Will Brooks; her granddaughter-in-law, Jeanette Goss Hoskins and her husband, Chris; her siblings, Emmett (Barbara) Wade and Margaret (Mitchell) Etheridge; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Marys family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. The graveside service will follow the visitation at Gordon Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Wayne Neal will officiate. Pallbearers are Matt Brooks, Will Brooks, Brandon Goss, Corey Goss, Dustin Fisher, and Landen Goss.
