Mary Johnson

Mary Patterson Johnson, 75, of the Farmville community, died suddenly on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Mary was born in Trion on April 11, 1942; she was the daughter of the late Claude Patterson and Dessie Gillespie. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Calvin Johnson. Mary retired from The Prescription Shop after more than thirty years. She was an active member of Riverview Baptist Church for many years. She taught Sunday School for fifty years.
Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Gary Holbert, and by her granddaughters, Whitney and Madison Holbert.
Marys family will receive friends on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from Riverview Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jamie Hunt will officiate. The church choir will be in charge of the music. Pallbearers are John Hall, Ron Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Michael Johnson, Larry Johnson, and James Henson.
