Mary L. Craig, age 77 of Fairmount, GA, went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2012 at Floyd Medical Center surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She had spent the last year at Morning Point Assisted Living, Calhoun, GA. Mary was born October 10, 1934 in McMinn County, TN to the late Charlie and Dora Farmer. She was married to Clyde Craig who preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by four brothers Norman, George, Gene, and Jack Farmer.

Mary was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed by them all.

She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Vernon Hendrix of Ranger, and Wanda Scott of Calhoun; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Toni Hill of Ranger; grandchildren, Sherrie Moore, Robin Oneal, Tonya Parker, Regina Gilbert, Darlene Stewart, Chris Hill, Ricky Hill, Shane Serritt, and Shannon Lawson; brother and sister-in-laws, Melvin and Jane Farmer of Fairmount, and Ann Farmer and Marilee Farmer, of Tennessee. Twenty-one great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, several nephews, nieces and other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 9pm Friday at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mary L. Craig will be held at 2 pm Saturday, September 1, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Hershel Pierce and Rev. Ricky Silvers officiating. She will be laid to rest at Haven of Rest Memorial Park beside her loving husband. Pallbearers serving will be Chris Hill, Ricky Hill, Scottie Moore, Jimmy Gilbert, Barry Parker and Shane Serritt. Great-grandsons and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family wishes to thank Floyd Medical Center nurses and staff, Heyman Hospice, and Morning Point Assisted Living for all the care and services that was done for Mary and the family. God Bless each of you.
