Mrs. Mary Lou Arnold, 78, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 following several years of declining health. She was born on September 27, 1938; Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Harley and Ollie Craig Charles. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JW Arnold; her sister, Murrell Bowen; her brother, Marvin Charles. She was a longtime member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church.
Mary Lou is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Elford and Robbie Charles, Herbert Charles and Jerry Charles; sisters and brother-in-law, Lanell Silvers, Betty Burns, and Shirley and Jimmy Swafford; nieces and nephews also survive.
The Arnold family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2:00pm from Concord Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bro Sammy Allen will officiate; The Morrison Family is in charge of the music. Mrs. Arnolds body will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 1:00p.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers serving are David Charles, Scoey Swafford, Frankie Bowen, Chris Bowen, Calvin Silvers, and Avery Hopper.
