Matthew Duane Cobb

Mr. Matthew Duane Cobb, age 28 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on July 1, 1983, son of Tena Diane Kelly and the late David Wayne Cobb. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cobb, and great-grandparents, Russell and Ruth Duvall.

Matthew was a 2002 graduate of Calhoun High School. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Survivors include his mother, Tena Diane Kelly; a brother, Adam Higgins; grandparents, Troy and Diann Casey, and Charles and Virginia Broome; uncle and aunt, Charles and Sandy Broome; and a very special aunt and uncle, Jayne and Danny Cochran, all of Calhoun.

Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Duane Cobb will be held Saturday, April 7th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Matthew's body will be cremated following the funeral service.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00pm until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are given to the Matthew Cobb Final Expense Fund, P.O. Box 1027, Calhoun, GA 30703.
