Maudie Ellen Parrott

Mrs. Maudie Clark Parrott, 85 of Calhoun, died Thursday, July 27, 2017. She was born in Gordon County on December 6, 1931, daughter of the late Ira Clark and Annie Norton Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Parrott; father of her children, Richard Sisson; her son, Randall Sisson; and grandchildren, Randy Pass and Gary Pass.

Mrs. Parrott was a member of Cove Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement from Coronet Industries, she was employed by Aldon Mills, King Textile, and Whitener Chenille.

She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Melba Sisson and Betty Sisson; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Tony Newman; grandchildren, Zachary Newman, Hannah Priest, Derek Newman, Chase Newman, Tyron Black, Jason Sisson, Brandon Sisson, Anita Rhoden, and Kelly Stansell; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Maybelle and Alfred Knight.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Zach Newman, Duston Priest, Mike Dodd, Bill Dillard, Benny Hall, and Danny Hall. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Gordon Healthcare.

The Parrott family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
