Maybelle Brown Pasley

Mrs. Maybelle Brown Pasley, 72 of Adairsville, GA died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home, following several years of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on August 25, 1943, daughter of the late Oliver Buster and Della Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timmy Griffin; a granddaughter, Candice Pasley; and sisters, Peggy Morrow and Wanda Burns.

Mrs. Pasley and her husband, Pastor Ed Pasley, pastored six churches for over 50 years, including Towe's Chapel Church of God, Fairview Church of God, Ellijay Church of God, Chatsworth Church of God, Beech Creek Church of God, and Rockmart Church of God. Also, as Assistant Pastor of Adairsville Church of God.

She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Pastor Ed Pasley; her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Pasley, and Todd and Colleen Pasley; her daughters and sons-in-law, Naketa Griffin, Susan and Johnny Roberson, and Mellisa and David Hollifield; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Retha Brown of Calhoun; a sister, Sherry Chastain of Calhoun; her grandchildren, Jeremy Griffin, Jill Griffin Brown, Tara Ewell, Robbie Turner, Matt Roberson, Cole Pasley, Lynnsey Hollifield, Maddison, Hollifield, and Greyson Hollifield; and several great-grandchildren.

Services to honor the life of Mrs. Maybelle Brown Pasley will be held Monday, June 27th at 3:00 PM from the Adairsville Church of God, with Pastors Michael Pasley, Johnny Parker, Larry Woodson, and Jeff Dutton officiating. Music will be arranged by Cheryl Pasley and the Parker Family. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jeremy Griffin, Cole Pasley, Matt Roberson, Greyson Hollifield, Wesley Griffin, and Brent Holden.

The Pasley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26th from 3:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
