Obituary

Melissa Darlene (Dale) Pinyan, 52 of Calhoun went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.
Melissa was born in Gordon County on July 6, 1968, daughter of James (Jimmy) Dale Jr and Shirley Ann Parker. She was a 1986 graduate of Fairmount High School and received her Bachelors in Education Degree from Dalton State College in 2014. She was employed by the Calhoun City Schools as a teacher. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was employed by DWI Holdings and Crown Crafts and was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Lamar Pinyan to whom she was married for 34 years, two daughters; Ashley (Brandon) Cochran and Magen (Josh) Bagwell, grandchildren; LaShae Cochran and Gunner Bagwell, brother; Eric ( Lisa ) Dale, sister; Helen ( Kelly ) Perry, Shayne Roberson, grandmother; Eva Parker, sisters in law; Yvonne (Keith) Parker, Lisa (Todd) Poole, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A service to celebrate the life of Melissa Darlene Pinyan will be held Monday, November 23, 2020, at 4:00 PM at Calhoun First Baptist Church with Jason Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include; Kevin Parker, Richie Parker, William Bryant, Matthew Waters, Stephen Waters, Bradley Mealor, Craig Mealor, and Anthony Pinyan.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Calhoun First Baptist Church between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 23, 2020, from 11:00 until the funeral hour of 4:00 PM.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Medical Research Hospital,l 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 orhttp://www.stjude.org/ in memory of Melissa.
