Michael Wayne Freeman

Mr. Michael Wayne Freeman, age 56, born July 17, 1957, of Oak Park, GA, formerly of Resaca, passed away August 16, 2013 at MCG Hospital in Augusta due to a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Starkey Freeman and mother-in-law, Rosebud Beaver Mathis.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tammi Mathis Freeman of Oak Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Michael Dalrymple of Chatsworth, and McKenzi and James Bone of Oak Park; four grandchildren, Chloe and Kirsten Peaco of Powder Springs, and Lawson and Hunter Dalrymple of Chatsworth; his father, McKenley Freeman of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Ron and Mona Brewton of Calhoun; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Jane Freeman of Calhoun, and Chris and Kim Freeman of Eton; father-in-law, Harlin Mathis of Dalton; a close sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Calvin and Yicelita McMichaels of Dalton; a special niece and nephew, Bryan and Shequena Johnson of Marietta; and an extra special best friend, Lonnie "Anwar" Eoff of Chatsworth. Various friends and relatives also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Michael Wayne Freeman will be held Sunday, September 8th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial of his cremains will follow at Dunagan Cemetery in West Side, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
