Mike Leatherwood

Mr. Mike Leatherwood, age 54 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Bartow County on December 29, 1959, son of Sylvia Jean Cochran Leatherwood and the late Ralph Leatherwood. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mike leaves behind two daughters and sons-in-law, Resa and Shane Parrott of Calhoun, and Tanara and Ian Litschke of Longwood, Florida; mother, Jean Leatherwood; three brothers, Greg Leatherwood and his wife Patty, Tony Leatherwood, and Andy Leatherwood, all of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Matthew and Grace Parrott, and Evan, Ethan, and Emma Litschke. Other survivors include aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews, and girlfriend, Betty Silvers.

Services to celebrate the life Mr. Mike Leatherwood will be held Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 PM from Heritage Baptist Church, 345 Curtis Parkway SE, Calhoun, GA 30701, with Rev. Shane Parrott, Dr. Brent Davis, and Rev. Derrick Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Chase Leatherwood, Blake Leatherwood, Marty Cagle, Doug Bryant, Rod Dixon, Ian Litschke, Matthew Parrott, and Evan Litschke.

The Leatherwood family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
